Welcome! Moors Wood is a small private woodland owned and managed by Sarah and Ian Blenkinsop as a nature reserve and as a sustainably managed source of various wood products.
Sarah is a freelance Environmental Educator, Lecturer and Forest School Leader. Based at her own site at Moors Wood, Sarah provides fun natural/recycled craft workshops; play or storytelling sessions; eco themed parties; workshops on food preservation, setting up an organic garden, setting up a composting area or keeping chickens; or training courses in various woodcraft and play skills. These services are available for adults and/or children. Sarah is also very happy to come to you and deliver any of the above, or to give talks to groups.

Prices and booking
If you would like to come and play at Moors Wood or are interested in booking Sarah to run a session elsewhere please email us moorswood@tiscali.co.uk
Bookings for workshops or sessions in the woods here, or elsewhere, vary depending on the length of time, the activity required and the size of the group. Each course is tailored to take into account the group's requirements so we cannot give an "off the peg" price!
However in general, we charge a group around £200 per day and £120 per half day session. Please note that we charge you a £50 cancellation fee if you cancel the session with less than 5 working days notice.
Moors Wood is a working smallholding and woodland so appropriate footwear and clothing is needed (wellies or boots; warm clothes and waterproofs) when you visit us.
For Craft courses the fees again depend if it is a block booking for me to teach a group at your site, or an individual booking on to an open course I am running
If you would like to book a course at Moors Wood please email me to register an interest. Details of how to pay and get to us will be forwarded to you along with confirmation of your booking. All courses, workshops etc require full payment in advance and the completion of various consent forms for insurance and health and safety purposes.
